• I’ve lived in the Bay Area for most my life. Born in the South Bay, grew up in the Peninsula, 20s in San Francisco, and now living with my wife in the North Bay

• Out of undergrad I started at NetApp doing Corporate FP&A. It was the first time I saw (and become comfortable with) a wall of text on a spreadsheet. I quickly became an excel monkey. I realized I liked analytics, but didn’t like the finance part

• In 2015 I took Zipfian’s Data Science Academy. At this point data science was still random forests and sloppy IPython notebooks. I was 1 of 2 (out of 22) students who had a business background. I learned this would be my differentiator

• I joined Salesforce in Aug of ‘15 as a Senior Growth Analytics on the Product Data Science team. I learned the value of storytelling, navigating corporate environments, and deep product analytics. I left as Director of Strategy & Growth leading a team of 8 (Data Scientists, Visualization, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers)

• I joined Digits as their first business hire. In typical startup fashion, I wore a lot of hats: Product, Operations, Analytics, ETL, User Research, Strategic Frameworks, CRM Admin, Monetization Strategy and anything that involved the spreadsheet side of the business

• Since then I’ve been building and helping others learn in the AI space
